File Preparation GuidelinesPreparing Files for Output Adobe Photoshop Files
- Set up Photoshop files at 100 dpi at final size for best quality. Save as .PSD files so that adjustments can be made if needed. We cannot edit .tif or .jpg files.
- Include all fonts, if applicable.
- Do not tile mural images or separate them into different pages. Create murals as a complete image and we will tile panels according to our output requirements.
- Avoid compressing files for best quality.
QuarkXpress Files
- Include a fonts folder with both printer and screen fonts. Do not convert type to outlines if possible. Send fonts even if the type is outlined.
- Do not send CMYK imports, and do not mix EPS and TIFF imports.
- Do not scale, skew or rotate in Xpress. Import the files into Xpress at actual size and rotation.
- Do not tile mural images or separate them into different pages. Create murals as a complete image and we will tile panels according to our output requirements.
Adobe Illustrator & Macromedia Freehand Files
- Include a fonts folder with both printer and screen fonts. Do not convert type to outlines if editing may be necessary. Send fonts even if the type is outlined.
- Do not embed images in Illustrator or Freehand files, link them instead. There is no way to determine the quality and resolution of the embedded image.
- Do not send CMYK imports, and do not mix EPS and TIFF imports.

Preparing Files for Vinyl Output- Create files in Illustrator or Freehand. Save as EPS or Illustrator format.
